Kathleen Mooney guides you through a series of selections that identify YOUR preferences for color, composition, value, texture, detail, and imagery.
Then she leads you in creating your own art work using the energy found in abstraction.
Students are encouraged to bring their own paintings that they are willing to push to the next level - energy, excitement and flair.
You are encouraged to bring your own materials for this class. Kathleen will provide other more experimental materials You get to keep your paintings.
Fire and Water Art has a large selection of frames and mats to frame your work of art - and while framing is not included in the class fee you will find sound artistic advice, beautiful choices and attractive prices here!
Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting paint on!
This class is scheduled by appointment and lasts 3 hours. This class is suitable for all ages. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
Fee is $60 per student for group instruction - or- $95 for individual instruction.

Block Print Carving - FUN and the basis for many of our other art classes!
Kathleen Mooney introduces you to the art of block printing. We cover safety, materials and tools, how to reverse text, work from a pattern, and free hand carving. Then we print and paint using your designs!
Students are encouraged to bring their own drawings, logos, or other designs that they would like to use in their block. The originals will not be harmed.
